Dr. Michael Merjanian, affectionately known by his patients as Dr. Mike, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with a deep passion for helping his community age gracefully and functionally. Throughout his career in the ER, he witnessed firsthand how poor aging led to countless preventable health issues and hospital visits. He also noticed a striking pattern: some 90-year-olds lived and looked like they were in their 60s, while others in their 60s appeared and felt decades older. The key difference? Lifestyle and proactive self-care starting early in life.

This realization fueled Dr. Mike’s mission to help people thrive as they age and avoid preventable health crises. Determined to make a difference, he founded the SoCal Cosmetic Center to offer more than just aesthetic treatments—it’s a place where science, wellness, and artistry come together to support graceful, functional aging.

Dr. Mike also saw a troubling trend in the aesthetic industry: undertrained staff and a focus on sales over patient care. He set out to redefine the physician-patient relationship by building a center grounded in trust, expertise, and personalized care. At SoCal Cosmetic Center, Dr. Mike combines his medical expertise with a holistic approach to aesthetics, empowering patients to look and feel their best at every stage of life.

Born and raised in Southern California, Monique Mariscal, PA-C, has always had a passion for health and wellness. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, with the initial goal of becoming a Dietitian. However, her desire to have a more direct impact on patient care led her to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. She went on to earn her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences.
 

After passing her boards, Monique began her career in a Functional Medicine clinic, where she focused on helping patients with diabetes and weight loss. Her decision to become a PA was driven by a personal experience: when her grandfather was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, she felt compelled to shift from nutrition to healthcare to make a greater impact.
 

While working with the geriatric community, Monique became increasingly aware of the importance of preventive medicine. She is passionate about educating patients on how proactive health and lifestyle choices can significantly influence their well-being as they age. In addition to her work in holistic medicine, she specializes in aesthetic injections, helping patients enhance their confidence while prioritizing overall health.

Monique is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care with a strong focus on long-term wellness.

Taylor was born and raised in Orange County and is a travel enthusiast, big time foodie and has a passion for all things skincare, health and wellness. 

She is a registered nurse with a Bachelors in Science of Nursing and is a Licensed Esthetician. Her love for skincare started as a young girl and has flourished ever since. Taylor believes beauty starts from the inside but can be enhanced with a personal and tailored approach! 

She enjoys helping people enhance their wellness journeys especially when it comes to skin health. She believes everyone’s journey is different and aesthetic medicine is about understanding everyone’s personal goals & coming up with a unique plan together! It has been such a compelling experience to help patients reach both their inner and outer beauty goals.
